Myanmar is becoming a country filled with tourists. Currently the problem is that you are limited to a couple of cities and that’s where everybody goes. We wanted to do a different trekking and Hsipaw gave us that. It’s close to Mandalay but if you’re willing to go for a longer trek, you don’t see tourists at all. For the best experience with people, the smaller group the better (we were only two) and you need a good guide.
Our guide was Axsai (his FB page with all the contact info: Hsipaw trekking with Axsai), very positive and kind spirit with lots of knowledge which he shares and can answer all of your questions on Myanmar.
