Koh Lanta is a calm Thai island on the West coast of Thailand where we spent around 10 days. Since the beaches close to Salaadan pier didn’t really appeal to us, we moved down South. This is a beach walkthrough! Oh and Klong means river canal which goes in the sea. From North to South the beaches of Koh Lanta are: Khlong Dao: family and agency tours oriented town. A bit more expensive hotels and resorts. Long Beach (or Prae An): long, sandy beach with some more expensive…

On a hot day you can visit Warnemünde, which is a 20 min ride from Rostock with a train. It is a resort town and has a beautiful beach. Yes, you heard it right. Beach in Germany! It was so hot when we visited so it was full of people, Germans sure are proud of their seaside. There are lots of steam boats so you can take a tour on the sea, from Warnemünde to Markgrafenheider. It’s a place of resorts but the beach is not so crowded…

Jambiani is a quiet village  on the southeast coast of Zanzibar with the longest beach on the island. In the end of May there were hardly any tourist so we had the beach to ourselves. Unfortunately there was also very little street food available, most of the hotels and restaurants were closed so we ate mostly at our resort. This is common in low season and cholera outbreak happened a month ago so we kind of expected it. Kind of 🙂 Nearby village Paje has a bit more to…

Hey. Long time no see 🙂 So Camotes are not really remote. It just seems so because the lack of tourists. Most of them are from Philippines, some are Chinese/Japanese/Korean and soooome Western tourists. Fine by me! 🙂 One of the nicest Philippine islands. perfect for budget traveling. Camptes beaches are empty, food is cheap and there is plenty of natural sightseeing. Big fresh water lake and kayaking, lots of caves with fresh water to swim in and they even have waterfalls. We even found a man from New…

St. Niño festival is a big religious holiday all over, also in Anda. The children are preparing for it for many days and practicing their dance moves on the grass. There is also Miss and Mr Anda, oh yeah. We stumbled in this time on the weekend and the festival going in so there were more locals than usual. All the western tourists seemed to be hiding in the expensive resorts and fortunately there is a budget option in Anda lodge (400P/double fan). The beach is beautiful. Fine white…

We loved it!

Christmas in Slovenia means cold temperatures, freezing feet and burning cheeks while standing under heaters in the old city center of Ljubljana and having some hot wine with spices. Baking cinnamon cookies, Christmas lights and buying presents for family and friends. And this year is the first Christmas with hot weather and short sleeves, lights on palm trees and no family! It’s not bad but different. We did watch Home Alone 🙂 We’re in El Nido, one of the top destinations for traveling and for sure top spot…

It will make your head spin, but take a look at our quick Indonesia recap (I still can’t believe how white is that beach on Kei islands – from where we have no pictures as our camera got stolen).

Clear blue sea and a few boats on Banda islands.

We’re on the Jakarta airport and I’m barely able to write this post. I’m so sleepy. But we did have an amazing dinner here (beef stew in Baso restaurant on terminal 3, yum!). We’re watching a strange show about Indonesian exorcist and people around are watching intently. We are laughing 🙂   Here are the last of the pictures of historic Bandaneira and autumn Hatta. Soon we’ll be in Myanmar, shooting photos with our new camera! Yaaaaaaay! We just bumped on to a small shop in Ambon and Canon…

Yesterday we met one of Mic’s friends he met couple of years ago, when traveling in India. We hung out with Sheldon, who actually lives in Toronto, all day on the beach, drinking beer and then he treated us with some traditional Goan dinner. It was delicious! In the evening we went to a popular club Cape Town where Indian girls get crazy and Russian men show their tanned burnt skin. Rickshaws are expensive here. We did some shopping today. So if you want to know what you can…
